Vascular disease can cause serious complications.
Vascular disease is a common health issue in the United States affecting millions of people. Many people will not have symptoms until it has progressed and causes complications.
Vascular disease affects the blood vessels and disrupts the normal flow of blood throughout the body; it can lead to a variety of conditions, potentially leading to serious health complications including skin ulcers, aneurysm and stroke.
Early detection is key.
The earlier vascular disease is diagnosed, the better chance that conservative treatments will be successful.
Risk Factors
Risk factors for vascular disease include:
- Diabetes
- Age (50+)
- Overweight
- History of smoking
- History of blood clots

If you have one or more risk factors for vascular disease, you may want to consider a Vascular Health Screening at Mercy.

The screening will take about an hour and results will be shared with you and your primary care provider (PCP).
Cost & Insurance Coverage
The Vascular Health Screening is $90. Most insurance plans will not cover the cost of a Vascular Health Screening.
